1980-82 Classic TT Bike and Frameset
Introduced as a TT bike in the 1980 Catalogue, similar to the shop built Cronometro. Built with Reynolds 531 SL tubing & very close clearance; 75deg. parallel, 38″ wheelbase, fastback seat stays and Prugnat S4 cutout lugs. Campagnolo dropouts were chromed & drilled and the BB was cutout in 1981. The gear cable run was over the BB but also could go under as mentioned in the 1981 Elan catalogue description, see 1980 example below. Frameset only in 1982 built to special order. Brazed-on fittings inc. RHS gear lever boss, rear brake cable eyes and gear cable tunnel(s) & stop(s) or to choice in all years.

1980 Classic with double under BB cable tunels (10spd), lever bosses & drinks bottel bosses. Note clearances on rear bridge with modern tyres. (very light and responsive bike in retro form used regularly with modern bikes on club runs & TT’s)
