THE COMPETITOR, CHAMPIONSHIP & COMPETITION
The Competitor was only avaliable in 1977 only along with the Silver Jubilee and adopted from the Claude Butler range (See CB Models) and built with Reynolds 531 DB tubing, Prugnat lugs Type 62S & 73Deg angles.
The Championship first appeared in the 1978 Catalogue built with Reynolds 531 tubing and Prugnat lugs Type 62S , it was’nt listed in 1980.
The Competition was introduced in 1983 as a frameset with Prugnat type 62S lugs and ran until Malboro took over.
After 1985 it was upgraded to Reynolds 351C Butted tubing and 73/74 Deg angles. These later frames seem to have cutouts in their lugs.
