1939 Full Catalogue
The 1939 (only) L’International
Launched in 1939 it boasted all alloy components and a Continental design. It was the first bike in the range to use modern ‘special continetal’ threaded head set.
Intended for fast riding and massed start events it was built with Reynolds Super Carbon ‘531‘ tubing, 73 1/2 head & 71 1/2 seat angles and lugs cut to Holdsworths own design, more intricate than the lugs that went before.
It was only avaliable for one year before the war stopped the development of the range.
L’International ready for restoration, note press in head set design and more intricate lugs than thse shown in pre-war ID tips. Fork frame number is on steerer tube and single oiler on BB. (number would suggest post war (1946) as it is thought there was a war time break/reduction at ~6000, see Pre-war ID tips)
